YoshiAn is a maker of wagashi for tea ceremony as well as for personal enjoyment. The name YoshiAn (葦菴), a Typha grass hut, was given by a respected tea sensei when the owner started her wagashi making journey in 2018. Yoshi (葦), Typha grass, is the owner’s first name. YoshiAn (葦菴) was thus created.
At Yoshian, every wagashi is carefully hand crafted with the highest standards for the utmost respect for its audience. YoshiAn’s wagashi is unique and one of a kind as the idea of A Sole Encounter (一期一會). We wish our wagashi bring you joy and a sense of contentment.
Our wagashi is vegan, oil-free, wheat-free, and nut-free. But sesame seeds is one of the ingredients we use often. In addition, the commercial kitchen that we use processes all ingredients.
